Peer Review Process
Double-Blind Peer Review
The Indo Global Journal of Commerce and Economics (IGJCE) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of scholarly publishing through a rigorous Double-Blind Peer Review Process. This review system ensures the quality, originality, academic integrity, and scientific contribution of all manuscripts submitted to the journal. Under the double-blind review model, the identities of both the authors and the reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process. This approach promotes fairness, objectivity, impartiality, and academic independence in manuscript evaluation.
Initial Editorial Assessment
Upon submission, each manuscript undergoes a preliminary evaluation by the Editorial Office to determine:
- Relevance to the aims and scope of the journal
- Compliance with the journal's author guidelines and formatting requirements
- Adherence to ethical and research integrity standards
- Originality of the work through plagiarism screening
Note: Manuscripts that do not satisfy these requirements may be rejected at the editorial screening stage.
Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial assessment are assigned to a Handling Editor and forwarded to a minimum of two independent subject experts for double-blind peer review. Reviewers assess the manuscript solely on its academic merit without knowledge of the authors’ identities.
Review Criteria
- Originality and novelty of the research
- Significance and contribution to existing knowledge
- Soundness and appropriateness of the research methodology
- Quality of data analysis and interpretation
- Clarity, organisation, and academic presentation
- Adequacy and relevance of references and citations
- Compliance with ethical standards and publication guidelines
Editorial Decisions
Based on the reviewers’ reports and recommendations, the Editorial Board may make one of the following decisions:
Authors receiving revision requests are required to submit a revised manuscript along with a detailed response to the reviewers’ comments. Revised manuscripts may be subjected to an additional round of peer review when necessary. The Editor-in-Chief reserves the right to make the final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of manuscripts based on reviewers’ recommendations, editorial assessments, and the journal’s publication policies.
Publication Ethics and Confidentiality
IGJCE is dedicated to ensuring confidentiality, transparency, fairness, and integrity throughout the peer-review process and adheres to internationally recognised principles of scholarly publishing and publication ethics. All participants involved in the review process, including authors, reviewers, and editors, are expected to maintain the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct.
