Editorial Decision Process
IGJCE follows a transparent, fair, and independent editorial decision process to ensure that all manuscripts are evaluated solely on their scholarly merit, originality, and contribution to the field. The editorial decision process includes the following stages:
Initial Editorial Assessment
The Editor conducts a preliminary evaluation to determine whether the manuscript fits the journal's aims and scope and meets basic quality and ethical standards.
Peer Review
Eligible manuscripts are assigned to qualified independent reviewers for a rigorous peer-review process.
Evaluation of Reviewer Reports
The Editor carefully considers the reviewers' comments, recommendations, and the overall scientific quality of the manuscript before making a decision.
Editorial Independence
Editorial decisions are made independently and are not influenced by the authors' nationality, institutional affiliation, funding source, or commercial interests.
Decision Categories:
Revision Assessment
Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers or evaluated by the Editor to ensure that all comments have been satisfactorily addressed.
Final Decision
The Editor-in-Chief or the designated Handling Editor makes the final decision on acceptance or rejection after considering all reviewer feedback and editorial assessments.
Communication with Authors
Decision letters include reviewer comments and editorial guidance to help authors understand the basis for the decision and, where applicable, improve their manuscript.
Ethical Considerations
If ethical concerns arise at any stage of the review process, the editorial office may suspend the review, request additional information, or reject the manuscript in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policies.
