About Retractions
Retracted articles remain visible on the journal website but are clearly marked as retracted to preserve the integrity of the scholarly record.
IGJCE follows internationally recognised retraction guidelines in accordance with the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). An article may be retracted when serious ethical concerns, research misconduct, or fundamental errors are identified that invalidate the overall conclusions of the published work.
Grounds for Retraction
- Plagiarism, duplicate publication, or data fabrication confirmed after publication.
- Fundamental errors in data, methodology, or analysis that invalidate the conclusions.
- Ethical violations involving human participants or breaches of research ethics.
- Authorship disputes confirmed to involve fraud or misrepresentation.
- Legal issues such as defamation, copyright infringement, or breach of confidentiality.
Retraction Process
When a retraction is necessary, IGJCE will: publish a formal retraction notice linked to the original article; clearly mark the original article as retracted in the journal archive; notify relevant databases and indexing services; and where appropriate, notify the authors' affiliated institutions.
