Reviewer Code of Conduct
IGJCE expects all reviewers to adhere to the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct throughout the peer-review process.
Reviewers are expected to:
Act with Integrity
Conduct reviews honestly, ethically, and without personal bias.
Maintain Confidentiality
Keep all manuscript content and review-related communications strictly confidential.
Be Fair and Impartial
Evaluate manuscripts solely on their academic quality, originality, methodology, and relevance, regardless of the authors' nationality, gender, institutional affiliation, or personal characteristics.
Declare Conflicts of Interest
Disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest and decline the review where impartiality cannot be maintained.
Provide Constructive Feedback
Offer respectful, evidence-based, and professional comments that help authors improve their manuscripts.
Review Promptly
Accept review invitations only when qualified to assess the manuscript and able to complete the review within the requested timeframe.
Report Ethical Concerns
Notify the Editor of suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, image manipulation, unethical research practices, or any other concerns regarding research integrity.
Respect Intellectual Property
Do not use, share, or disclose unpublished ideas, data, or findings obtained during peer review for personal or professional benefit.
Avoid Inappropriate Communication
Do not contact authors directly regarding the manuscript under review. All communication should take place through the journal's editorial system.
Support Ethical Publishing
Follow the journal's peer-review policies and internationally recognised publication ethics standards to promote transparency, fairness, and scholarly excellence.
Reviewers who fail to comply with this Code of Conduct may be removed from the journal’s reviewer database and may not be considered for future review assignments.
