The Litera Global Journal of Social Sciences (LGJSS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of scholarly publishing through a rigorous, transparent, fair, and independent double-blind peer-review process. The journal’s peer-review system is designed to ensure that all published manuscripts meet internationally recognized standards of academic quality, originality, methodological rigor, ethical integrity, theoretical and empirical contribution, and scholarly excellence. Under the double-blind peer-review model, the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process. This approach minimizes potential bias and promotes objective, impartial, and independent evaluation based solely on the scholarly merit, methodological soundness, originality, and relevance of the submitted work to the journal’s aims and scope.

Each manuscript is assessed by qualified subject experts with relevant disciplinary expertise, who evaluate the manuscript’s originality, theoretical foundation, research design, methodological appropriateness, data analysis (where applicable), interpretation of findings, ethical compliance, quality of writing, and overall contribution to knowledge, policy, professional practice, or societal development. The Editorial Board considers reviewers’ recommendations carefully before making a final editorial decision, thereby ensuring that only high-quality research meeting the journal’s editorial and ethical standards is accepted for publication.

Following submission, every manuscript undergoes an initial editorial screening conducted by the Editorial Office and the Editor-in-Chief or an assigned Handling Editor. This preliminary assessment determines whether the manuscript satisfies the journal’s minimum requirements before it proceeds to the double-blind peer-review process. The initial editorial evaluation includes verification of:

• Relevance to the Aims and Scope of the LGJSS.
• Compliance with the journal's Author Guidelines, manuscript formatting requirements, and submission policies.
• Originality of the manuscript through similarity screening using recognized plagiarism detection software.
• Compliance with the journal's policies on publication ethics, research integrity, authorship, conflict of interest disclosure, funding disclosure, Artificial Intelligence (AI) disclosure, data availability, and ethical approval requirements, where applicable.
• Academic quality, theoretical contribution, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, language quality, and overall suitability for external peer review.
• Completeness of the manuscript, including all required declarations, references, tables, figures, supplementary materials, and supporting documentation, where applicable.

Manuscripts that do not satisfy these requirements may be returned to the corresponding author for technical revision before peer review or may be declined without external peer review if they are considered outside the journal’s scope or fail to meet the journal’s editorial and ethical standards.

LGJSS operates a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure the publication of high-quality, original, and ethically conducted scholarly research. All submitted manuscripts are evaluated objectively for their academic merit, originality, methodological rigor, theoretical and practical contribution, and relevance to the journal’s aims and scope. Under the double-blind review system, the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process, thereby ensuring an impartial and unbiased evaluation. Each manuscript that successfully passes the initial editorial screening is assigned to the Editor-in-Chief or an appropriate Associate Editor and is reviewed by at least two independent experts in the relevant discipline. Additional reviewers may be invited where specialist expertise is required or where reviewer recommendations differ substantially. Editorial decisions are based solely on the reviewers’ evaluations, the academic quality of the manuscript, and the recommendations of the handling editor. The final decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection rests with the Editor-in-Chief.

Reviewers are requested to evaluate manuscripts based on the following criteria:

• Originality and scholarly contribution
• Relevance to the journal's aims and scope
• Significance of the research problem and objectives
• Soundness of the theoretical framework and literature review
• Appropriateness and rigor of the research methodology
• Quality of data analysis and interpretation, where applicable
• Validity and reliability of the findings
• Clarity, organization, and quality of academic writing
• Adequacy and relevance of references
• Ethical compliance and adherence to the journal's publication policies
• Overall contribution to knowledge, policy, professional practice, or societal development

Reviewers are expected to provide objective, constructive, and evidence-based comments to assist both the authors and the Editorial Board in maintaining the journal’s academic quality and integrity.

After careful consideration of the reviewers’ reports and the editorial assessment, the Editor-in-Chief will communicate one of the following decisions:

• Accept
• Accept with Minor Revisions
• Major Revisions Required
• Reject

Authors requested to revise their manuscripts must submit:

• A revised manuscript incorporating all required changes.
• A detailed Response to Reviewers document explaining how each review comment has been addressed.
• Where necessary, revised manuscripts may undergo an additional round of peer review before a final editorial decision is made.
• Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation when considered necessary by the Handling Editor or Editor-in-Chief.
• The Editor-in-Chief has full responsibility for the final editorial decision and may accept or reject a manuscript after considering reviewer recommendations, scientific merit, ethical considerations, and the journal's editorial policies.
