The Indo Global Journal of Applied Management Science (IGJAMS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of transparency, integrity, and ethical publishing. In accordance with the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the publication ethics standards expected by Scopus, all participants in the publication process are required to disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest that may influence the objectivity, integrity, or credibility of the research and publication process.
Definition of Conflict of Interest
A conflict of interest exists when professional judgment concerning a primary interest, such as the validity of research or impartial editorial decisions, may be influenced by a secondary interest, including financial gain, personal relationships, academic competition, institutional affiliations, or other personal considerations.
Responsibilities of Authors
Authors must disclose all sources of funding and any financial, professional, institutional, or personal relationships that could be perceived as influencing the research findings or interpretation of the results. Examples of potential conflicts of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Research grants, sponsorships, or funding support.
- Employment, consultancy, advisory roles, or honoraria.
- Ownership of stocks, shares, patents, or intellectual property rights.
- Personal, professional, or institutional relationships that may influence the research.
- Any competing academic, commercial, or personal interests.
Authors must include a Conflict-of-Interest Statement in their manuscript. If no conflicts exist, the following declaration should be included:
Conflict of Interest Statement: The authors declare that they have no known competing financial, professional, or personal interests that could have influenced the work reported in this manuscript.
Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest that could affect their ability to provide an objective and impartial assessment of a manuscript. Reviewers should decline the review invitation if they:
- Have collaborated with any of the authors within the recent past.
- Have personal, professional, or institutional relationships with the authors.
- Have financial or commercial interests related to the manuscript.
- Are engaged in direct academic competition with the authors.
- Believe that any circumstance may compromise their impartiality.
Note: Reviewers must not use unpublished information obtained through the peer-review process for personal, professional, or commercial advantage.
Responsibilities of Editors and Editorial Board Members
Editors and Editorial Board members must perform their duties impartially and disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest. Editors shall recuse themselves from handling manuscripts when:
- They have personal, professional, or institutional relationships with the authors.
- They have collaborated with the authors on research projects.
- They have financial interests related to the manuscript.
- They have any competing interests that could reasonably be perceived as influencing editorial decisions.
Note: In such cases, the manuscript shall be reassigned to another editor who has no conflict of interest.
Ethical Commitment
IGJAMS is committed to ensuring that editorial decisions and published research remain free from undue influence and are guided solely by principles of academic merit, scientific integrity, transparency, and ethical responsibility. The journal expects all authors, reviewers, editors, and editorial board members to disclose relevant conflicts of interest and to uphold the highest standards of ethical publishing practices.
