The Metro Journal of Modern Sciences (MJMS) is committed to promoting research transparency, integrity, reproducibility, and responsible research practices. Authors are encouraged to make the research data, datasets, questionnaires, interview guides, survey instruments, coding frameworks, transcripts (where ethically permissible), analytical files, supplementary materials, and other supporting resources underlying their published work available whenever appropriate and legally permissible. To enhance the credibility and transparency of published research, all manuscripts submitted to MJMS should include a Data Availability Statement indicating whether the supporting data are publicly available, available upon reasonable request, subject to restrictions, or not applicable. The availability of research data enables independent verification of findings, facilitates future research, and contributes to the advancement of research across the diverse disciplines of modern science.

Authors are required to include a Data Availability Statement at the end of the manuscript, immediately before the References section. The statement should clearly describe the availability and accessibility of the data supporting the findings of the study.

   The datasets and supporting materials generated and/or analysed during this study are available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request.

   The datasets, research instruments, analytical files, supplementary materials, and supporting documents associated with this study are publicly available in a recognized data repository. Repository details, Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs), accession numbers, or persistent URLs are provided within the manuscript.

   All data supporting the findings of this study are included within the published article and its supplementary materials.

4. 4Restricted Data

   The research data supporting this study are not publicly available due to participant confidentiality, privacy protection, ethical requirements, legal obligations, institutional policies, contractual agreements, or other legitimate restrictions. Data may be made available upon reasonable request, subject to applicable approvals and permissions.

Authors are encouraged to deposit research data, questionnaires, interview schedules, coding manuals, analytical files, supplementary materials, and other supporting documentation in trusted institutional, disciplinary, or general-purpose repositories whenever appropriate. Supporting materials should be accompanied by sufficient documentation and metadata to facilitate interpretation, verification, and reuse. Where possible, authors are encouraged to use repositories that provide persistent identifiers such as Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs).

Authors should retain original research data, questionnaires, interview recordings (where ethically permissible), field notes, coding files, statistical analysis outputs, consent documentation (where applicable), and other supporting materials for an appropriate period following publication in accordance with institutional policies, funding requirements, and applicable legal or ethical regulations. The Editorial Office may request access to supporting data during the editorial or post-publication process where necessary to verify the integrity, accuracy, or reliability of the published research.

MJMS recognizes that unrestricted public access to research data may not always be appropriate. Legitimate reasons for restricting data sharing include:

• Protection of participant privacy and confidentiality
• Ethical or legal restrictions
• Institutional policies
• Intellectual property protection
• Commercial confidentiality
• Contractual obligations
• Indigenous or culturally sensitive information
• Government regulations
• Third-party ownership of data

Where restrictions apply, authors should clearly explain the reasons in the Data Availability Statement.

During the editorial assessment and peer-review process, the Editorial Office or reviewers may request additional information regarding the availability, accessibility, documentation, or verification of research data, research instruments, analytical procedures, supplementary materials, or supporting documentation where necessary to evaluate the manuscript. Failure to provide sufficient information regarding supporting data when reasonably requested may affect the editorial assessment of the manuscript.

MJMS supports responsible data sharing and encourages authors to adopt transparent research practices that enhance the credibility, reproducibility, and long-term value of scholarly research. At the same time, the journal fully respects ethical obligations, participant privacy, institutional policies, legal requirements, intellectual property rights, and other legitimate restrictions governing the sharing of research data. By providing a clear and accurate Data Availability Statement, authors contribute to the integrity, transparency, and reliability of the scholarly record while supporting the advancement of knowledge across the diverse disciplines of modern science and interdisciplinary research.
