For Authors
Submission Process
The Metro Journal of Modern Science (MJMS) follows a transparent, efficient, and author-friendly manuscript submission process designed to ensure the timely evaluation and publication of high-quality scientific research. Authors are encouraged to carefully follow the steps below to facilitate a smooth editorial and peer-review process.
Step 1: Prepare Your Manuscript
Before submission, ensure that your manuscript complies with the journal's Author Guidelines, Manuscript Template, and Before Submission Checklist. The manuscript should be original, complete, scientifically sound, and formatted according to the journal's prescribed requirements.
Step 2: Submit Your Manuscript
Authors should submit their manuscripts through the MJMS Online Manuscript Submission System available on the journal's official website. If the online submission system is temporarily unavailable, manuscripts may be submitted via the journal's official editorial email along with all required supporting documents.
Step 3: Initial Editorial Screening
Upon submission, the Editorial Office conducts an initial assessment to verify:
- Compliance with the journal's Aim and Scope
- Manuscript formatting and completeness
- Similarity (plagiarism) screening
- Compliance with publication ethics and research integrity policies
- Quality of English language and scientific presentation
- Required author declarations, ethical approvals, conflict of interest disclosures, funding information, and supporting documents
Manuscripts that do not satisfy the basic submission requirements may be returned to the corresponding author for correction before entering the peer-review process.
Step 4: Double-Blind Peer Review
Eligible manuscripts are assigned to the Editor-in-Chief or an appropriate Associate Editor and forwarded to at least two independent expert reviewers through the journal's Double-Blind Peer Review process. The identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process to ensure fairness, objectivity, transparency, and impartiality.
Step 5: Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers' recommendations and the Editor's evaluation, the Editor-in-Chief will communicate one of the following editorial decisions: Accept | Minor Revision | Major Revision | Reject. Authors receiving revision requests should submit:
- A revised manuscript.
- A detailed Response to Reviewers document addressing each review comment point-by-point within the specified timeframe.
Step 6: Final Acceptance
Once the manuscript has successfully completed peer review and satisfies all editorial, technical, scientific, and ethical requirements, the Editor-in-Chief will issue the final acceptance decision.
Step 7: Production and Publication
Accepted manuscripts proceed through the publication process, which includes:
- Professional copyediting
- Scientific language editing and proofreading
- Typesetting and layout preparation
- DOI registration
- Final author proof approval
- Online publication in the scheduled issue
Published articles become immediately available through the journal website, ensuring broad accessibility, global discoverability, and long-term scholarly visibility.
Communication with Authors
The corresponding author will receive email notifications throughout every major stage of the editorial process, including:
- Manuscript submission confirmation
- Initial editorial assessment
- Peer-review progress
- Editorial decisions
