• DOIs provide a persistent link to the official published version of the article, even if the website or URL changes.
• Authors should use the DOI when citing published articles to ensure accurate and consistent referencing.
• All article metadata associated with the DOI are maintained and updated, where necessary, to support discoverability and indexing.
• Corrections, retractions, or updates to published articles will be reflected in the associated DOI metadata in accordance with publishing best practices.
• Authors and readers should always refer to the DOI-linked Version of Record as the authoritative version of the published article.
